Funcosil FC is a high-performance, PFAS-free silane-based façade impregnation for durable protection of mineral building materials. Funcosil FC penetrates deeply into the substrate, reduces water absorption and provides long-term protection against moisture, dirt, algae growth and frost/thaw damage, while fully maintaining the vapour-permeable structure.

Funcosil FC is suitable for all porous, mineral substrates such as brick, clinker, calcium silicate brick, natural stone and mineral renders.

Application of Funcosil FC
Apply Funcosil FC undiluted using a long-pile lambswool roller or airless spray system.
Apply in a saturating, even layer without material loss, also on vertical and overhead surfaces. Depending on substrate absorption, Funcosil FC can be applied in one or two coats.
Application temperature
Optimal application temperature for Funcosil FC is +5°C to +25°C.
Avoid direct sunlight on the substrate. Low temperatures may slow down penetration and reaction.
Function of Funcosil FC
Funcosil FC penetrates deeply into mineral pores and forms a permanent hydrophobic structure. This significantly reduces capillary water absorption while maintaining full vapour diffusion. The beading effect develops gradually and is enhanced by natural weather exposure.
