Kiesol C, the most effective damp proof cream

Fix Rising Damp Yourself — Choose a Professional Horizontal Moisture Barrier with Kiesol C or Injection Cream 80

Rising damp is one of the most common issues in older homes. Houses with porous walls, outdated foundations, or basements lacking proper waterproofing often experience moisture rising from the ground into the masonry. The result is not only visually unappealing but can also cause serious structural damage and create an unhealthy indoor environment.

Consequences of Rising Damp

  • Mold growth on walls

  • Wood rot in frames and floors

  • Musty, unpleasant odors

  • A cold and unhealthy indoor climate

  • Increased heating costs

Fortunately, rising damp can often be resolved very effectively — without demolition work and without needing the wall to be completely dry beforehand.

The Solution: Injecting Your Own Horizontal Moisture Barrier

With Kiesol C and Injection Cream 80, you can easily create a durable horizontal moisture barrier inside the wall. These products are specifically designed to stop rising damp permanently and are among the most proven solutions available.

Both products are cream‑based, allowing them to penetrate the masonry slowly and evenly. They work perfectly even in walls with up to 95% moisture content.

DIY Guide: How to Inject a Moisture Barrier (Step‑by‑Step)

This method is ideal for DIYers who want to tackle rising damp themselves. Follow the guidelines carefully for a professional‑quality result.

1. Preparation

  • Measure the thickness of the wall.

  • Use a masonry drill bit of at least 12 mm.

2. Drilling

  • Drill holes at an angle between 0° and 30° downward.

  • Drilling depth = wall thickness minus 2 cm.

  • Drill at ground level (just above the floor).

  • Keep a maximum spacing of 12 cm between the holes.

  • Remove all drilling dust for optimal absorption.

3. Injecting

  • Fill the injection gun with Kiesol C or Injection Cream 80.

  • Insert the nozzle as deep as possible into the hole.

  • Slowly fill the hole with the product.

4. Finishing

  • Seal the holes with Remmers WP DS Levell.

  • Finish the wall with a sulfate‑resistant mortar or similar product.

This method creates a long‑lasting, waterproof barrier that prevents ground moisture from rising into the wall.
