High-Performance Hydrophobic Impregnation Cream for Concrete and Reinforced Concrete

Funcosil IC is a highly concentrated silane-based impregnation cream containing approximately 80% active ingredient, designed for the long-term protection of concrete and reinforced concrete structures. This solvent-free, water-based formulation penetrates deeply into the pore structure of concrete, providing effective and durable hydrophobic protection while maintaining vapor permeability.

Thanks to its extremely deep penetration, the product reduces water absorption and chloride ingress, providing excellent protection against frost and de-icing salt damage. Funcosil IC ensures concrete remains breathable and preserves its structural integrity over the long term, making it ideal for infrastructure projects where durability and maintenance reduction are crucial.

Application Instructions

Methods of Application:

• Roller (long-pile lambskin roller)

• Brush

• Airless spraying (use appropriate respiratory protection)

The required quantity should be applied in 1 or 2 coats, depending on the roughness and inclination of the surface. The product penetrates deeply into porous substrates for maximum protection.

Airless Application:

• Recommended pressure: 50–60 bar

Application Temperature:

• Ideally between +10°C and +25°C

• Sun-heated façades should be protected with covers to avoid overheating

• At temperatures below +10°C, the evaporation of the carrier and formation of the active ingredient may be delayed

Rain Resistance:

• Approximately 30 minutes after application

Consumption:

• Approx. 0.2–0.5 litres per m², depending on surface roughness and absorbency
