Funcosil SNW 5 liters is a high-quality, water-based facade impregnation based on silane/siloxane. This colorless facade protector penetrates deeply into the substrate and makes it permanently water-repellent without blocking breathability.
Thanks to the handy 5-liter packaging, this product is ideal for small to medium facade projects.

Consumption per substrate
Consumption depends on substrate absorption and porosity:
- Fine brick: approx. 0.8 l/m² (± 6 m² per 5 liters)
- Coarse brick: approx. 1.2 l/m² (± 4 m² per 5 liters)
- Smooth calcium silicate: approx. 0.7 l/m² (± 7 m² per 5 liters)
- Rough calcium silicate: approx. 0.8 l/m² (± 6 m² per 5 liters)
- Aerated concrete: approx. 1.0 l/m² (± 5 m² per 5 liters)
- Fine natural stone: approx. 0.8 l/m² (± 6 m² per 5 liters)
- Coarse natural stone: approx. 1.7 l/m² (± 3 m² per 5 liters)
Average coverage: approx. 4–7 m² per 5 liters
Always test on a 1–2 m² sample area.
Function
Funcosil SNW penetrates deep into the pores and makes the substrate hydrophobic. Rainwater is repelled while water vapor escapes. Prevents moisture problems, dirt, and frost damage, extending facade lifespan.
Application
- Apply by flooding (low pressure, do not spray)
- Work from top to bottom
- Apply several times wet-on-wet
- Post-treat with a block brush
- Application temperature: +10°C to +25°C
Substrate must be clean, dry, and load-bearing. Repair cracks or defects beforehand.
Storage & Shelf life
- Minimum 12 months shelf life
- Store cool, dry, and frost-free
- Opened packaging should be used quickly
Important notes
- Not suitable for polystyrene or bitumen
- Protect treated surfaces from weather exposure
- Always apply a test area first
- For salt-containing substrates, conduct an analysis first
