Remmers Induline

Induline T-670 Plus – Black 3-in-1 Exterior Wood Coating

Induline T-670 Plus is a professional, water-based and opaque 3-in-1 exterior wood coating from Remmers. It combines primer, intermediate coat and topcoat in one product and provides a deep, elegant black finish for exterior timber.

Ideal for garden houses, timber cladding, fences, carports, wooden façades, rabbet boards, weatherboards and other exterior wooden structures.

Deep Black Protection for Exterior Wood

Black exterior wood has become increasingly popular for modern garden buildings, timber façades, fences and outdoor structures. Remmers Induline T-670 Plus combines this contemporary appearance with the performance of a professional exterior wood coating.

The coating is designed for exterior timber and provides a durable, opaque finish while helping protect the coating system against moisture, weathering, fungi and algae.

One of the key advantages is the 3-in-1 system: Induline T-670 Plus can function as the primer, intermediate coat and final topcoat. This makes the coating system particularly efficient compared with systems requiring several different products.

Suitable for Different Types of Exterior Wood

Induline T-670 Plus can be used on a wide range of exterior timber, depending on the specific properties and condition of the substrate. The final adhesion, coverage and durability depend on the wood species, surface preparation and application conditions.

  • Softwood: for example spruce, pine, Douglas fir and larch
  • Hardwood: suitable hardwood species such as oak, subject to proper preparation
  • Exterior timber profiles: including weatherboards, rabbet boards and timber cladding
  • Modified timber: suitable for selected applications, with a test area recommended beforehand

Resin-rich timber and wood species containing water-soluble substances may require particular attention when using water-based coatings. Always carry out a test application when working with an unfamiliar or specially treated timber substrate.

What Does 3-in-1 Mean?

Induline T-670 Plus is designed as a complete 3-in-1 exterior wood coating system. Instead of requiring a separate primer, intermediate coating and topcoat, the same product can be used for the different coating stages.

01

Primer

The first coat forms the foundation of the coating system.

02

Intermediate Coat

A further coat builds up coverage, protection and film thickness.

03

Topcoat

The final coat creates the uniform deep-black exterior finish.

How to Apply Induline T-670 Plus

Good surface preparation is essential for a durable exterior wood coating. The substrate should be clean, dry, free from dust, grease and loose or separating material.

Step 1 – Prepare the Timber

Remove dirt, dust, grease and poorly adhering old coatings. Weathered timber should be prepared until a sound and suitable substrate is obtained.

Step 2 – Stir the Product

Stir Induline T-670 Plus thoroughly before use. The product should also be mixed again after longer work interruptions.

Step 3 – Apply the First Coat

Apply a uniform first coat using a suitable brush, spray equipment or other appropriate application method.

Step 4 – Apply the Second Coat

Under suitable conditions, the second coat can generally be applied after approximately 2–3 hours. If the coating has dried overnight, Remmers recommends intermediate sanding before applying the next coat.

Step 5 – Additional Coat if Required

A third coat may be appropriate for particularly exposed surfaces or certain wood species. Very dense or planed timber may also require additional coating material because of its lower absorption.

Application by Brush, Roller or Spray

Brush

Ideal for smaller surfaces, edges, details and areas that are difficult to reach with spray equipment.

Spray Application

Suitable spray equipment can be used for efficient application on larger timber surfaces and professional coating projects.

Dipping / Flow Coating

Remmers also specifies Induline T-670 Plus for application methods such as dipping and flow coating in professional coating processes.

Coverage and Available Sizes

The specified consumption of Induline T-670 Plus is approximately 80–120 ml per m² per coat. At least two coats are required. Actual consumption depends on the wood species, surface texture, absorbency and application method.

Pack Size Approximate Coverage*
2.5 litres approx. 21–31 m² per coat
5 litres approx. 42–63 m² per coat
20 litres approx. 167–250 m² per coat

* Calculated from the specified consumption of 80–120 ml/m² per coat. At least two coats are required, so the total area covered by one container will be lower when the complete two-coat system is taken into account. Actual coverage depends on the substrate and application method.

Deep Black Exterior Wood Finish

Induline T-670 Plus is available in a Deep Black finish, providing an opaque and contemporary appearance for exterior timber.

Remmers also offers corresponding base products and colour options for specific professional applications. Please check availability before ordering special colours.

Important Application Information

Always carry out a test application first. This is particularly important when coating unfamiliar, modified, thermally treated or previously coated timber.

Wood species such as oak and other timber containing water-soluble extractives can cause discolouration when coated with water-based products. Resin-rich softwoods may also require additional preparation.

Low temperatures, high humidity and insufficient ventilation can significantly extend drying times.
